At 9:00 A.M. Saturday, February 6 the Youth and some brave adults will be putting wood duck houses in the swamp below brother Lance’s house. We will meet at Lance’s house at 9:00 A.M and then we will be going to the bottom by the beaver dam.
February 20th Children’s Missions Day
We would like to celebrate Children’s Missions Day. We hope to help someone in our church with activities that they are not able to do for themselves. This would be for grades 4-6. Lower grades will meet at the church and make cards for the sick and shut-ins. If weather permits, we would like to rake leaves for someone and work in the yard. More details later.
February 7th 5:00 PM Souper Bowl Sunday / Family Night
We will bring football food and watch the game. The others who don’t want to watch football can go to the gym and play downstairs.
We also need to bring a can of food or coffee for RIFA. This will be your ticket to come in. Come support your favorite team. Dr. Huggins will deliver a message during halftime.
Feb 3rd 6:00! Come help Savannah raise money for her missions trip to Italy.

Thursday, December 31st, Unity will be praying in the New Year. We look forward to Grace Baptist joining us this year. The youth and a few brave adults from both churches will meet at the fellowship hall at 6:00 for hamburgers and hot dogs. After stuffing our faces we will be playing several games such as air hockey, basketball, volleyball, cone ball, and apples to apples. At 11:30 we will head over to the sanctuary for a devotional and will be kneeling at the altar in prayer at the stroke of midnight. After some free time and wind down time we will be heading home around 2:00.
Invite anyone young or old who wants to welcome in the year in this special way.
Japanese Tea Party, Saturday, January 16th at Union University
Young ladies will learn of Japanese traditions at the Acteen event sponsored by Madison Chester Association. It will feature Ramona Mercer, previous missionary to Japan speaking about the people and culture. There will also be breakout sessions teaching origami and make up for a Christian young lady. The event will end with a Japanese tea ceremony
New Years is upon us again and the youth committee is in the process of making plans to pray in the New Year. There will be fun and games and fellowship until midnight when we will enter the New Year with our heads bowed in prayer. This event is for the youth but everyone is invited and encouraged to come and bring in the New Year in this special way.
