Hello Unity Baptist Church family. It is time for a new church directory which also means time to have new pictures made. Please help us by clicking here and choosing an appointment time. Online appointments will receive a $10.00 off coupon through your email. Seniors age 60+ will receive 20% off (coupon given at appointment sign up at church). Bring a non-perishable food item and receive an additional $5.00 off. Food items donated will be given to Faith, Hope, and Love Ministries in Henderson, Tn. All families photographed will receive a free 8×10 portrait and a church directory. Additional portrait purchase is optional. Lifetouch will take pictures for our church Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20. When you click the link above you will first need to select the number in your group to be photographed. At that time you will be able to choose April 19 or 20 as your appointment date. Then you will be able to select a time. Online appointment scheduling will be closed Sundays to allow church members to sign up manually.

2013 Bible Reading

Happy New Year! We are going to try something in the coming year. Each day I will post a couple of chapters that will allow us to read through the Bible chronologically for the year. The daily reading list is available at:

Let me know any suggestions you have. I’ll have the verses for the day posted each morning on facebook. I hope this is a source of encouragement for reading the Bible in 2013.

Natchez Trace Campfire Trip

Friday June 15, 2PM till midnight

Everyone will meet at the church at 2 pm.We will go to Natchez Trace Pin Oak Lake Campground. There we will have a paddleboat, tubes and a swimming area. We will also take along a volleyball and badmitten net. Youth can swim and play games, while the adults prepare a meal for about 6 pm. It will consist of fried chicken, potato salad, corn, beans rice, rolls, cokes or water,and ice cream for desert. After dinner you can choose between a moonlight kayak ride ora hayride through the park. At 8:30 we will start a campfire, have ice cream and roast marshmallows, play some guitar and sing some songs. Some of the group can share personal testimonies or significant events in their Christian walk, and then we will have one on one prayer.

We will head home at 11:30 pm

Things to bring:

A friend
Signed release form
Towel,swimsuit, and change of dry clothes
A lawnchair or blanket to sit on
Sunscreen, bug spray
A bicycle if you want to ride
Fishing gear and fishing license if you would like to fish.

Adults we need are: a van driver, a couple of car drivers, someone to build and tend campfire, someone to help grill and prepare food, people to drop off prepared dishes. We are also looking for someone to lend us a rowboat, kayak or canoe.

Anyone interested in staying the night in a tent and helping with cleanup Saturday morning will be treated to sausage eggs and biscuit in the morning prepared by Casey.

Everyone in the church is encouraged to come. If you tend on going or helping out please contact Casey Scheele or leave a comment below.

Lady Love Taildraggers

June 2nd at 2:00 – We will leave the church and go see the Lady Love Taildraggers in Savannah, TN. The air show will start at 4:00, but they expect a crowd so we want to get there early. We will take children ages 10 and up without a parent. Children 10 and under are welcome with a parent or guardian. Everyone is invited, and we hope many families can attend. Bring a yard chair, cash for a concession stand supper, sun-block and join the fun. The airplanes will go with our Amazing Wonders Aviation theme in VBS. Ash Bowers will be doing a concert at 8:00. We will stay and watch him sing, then come home. I can’t be certain of an exact time. Please let me know if you are going on this trip, so we will know how many vehicles to take. May Happenings!

Hello! Are you ready for hot weather? It’s going to be a hot weekend coming up! This is the month
that we are going to Camp Linden. If your child is signed up, please fill out these forms and return them
to me. You can bring them the day of the trip. I was under the impression that we would be staying
two nights. I misunderstood. We will be staying Friday night only. We will leave Friday afternoon
and probably arrive back home around 5:30 Saturday afternoon. I can continue to take the $25 fee
until the time of the trip. We would like to leave the church around 3:30 on Friday. If I need to make
arrangements to pick up your child, please let me know. They are hoping that it will be warm enough
to swim this time. Please make sure they have a one piece suit or a t-shirt to wear over it. They might
need 2 towels. Tennis shoes would be needed for all other activities, especially hiking.

We are continuing to prepare for VBS. It will be June 25-29th. Please make plans to attend. We are also
making plans to attend an air show in Savannah on June 2nd. This will go with our Amazing Wonders
Aviation theme in VBS. There will be more details on this trip soon. The VBS kickoff will be June 20th at
our church.

Please remember our Homecoming (decoration) at our church is May 27 th.

Youth Revival 2012

We will be having a revival for the youth in our community Adam Wood will lead us in worship and Hunter Callis will be bring the message. We invite all churches and anyone of any age to come and worship with us.

He Lives! He Lives!

take the time to remember what Jesus sacrificed for us. We had a great time at Bible Fun Field Day (at Linden) and our Egg Hunt. We enjoyed the resurrection story from Dr. Huggins, hunting eggs, (except the melting chocolate) and petting the baby bunnies. The attendance was great; thanks to all who came and participated. In the month of April, we have our fundraiser spaghetti supper on the 18 th at 6:00 p.m. Come help us raise money to pay for camp. I will be accepting the $25 fee the whole month of April. If you pay by check, please make it out to Unity Baptist Church. We also have our Youth Revival April 25-27. Please make plans to attend. Hunter Callis will be bringing the message each night.
We had a wonderful Easter Sunrise Service at Unity.
